Operational and economic analysis of a Velox-type combined heat & power plant with a throttle valve

For many years, the Department of Power Engineering and Turbomachinery Silesian University Technology has been using a small-capacity (about 500 kW e ) steam-gas power plant. Based on years experience in operation this plant utilizing Velox-type gas-steam system, an idea arose to modify type thermal cycle create combined heat (CHP) small capacity, dedicated for distributed production or process steam with high temperature. Previous thermodynamic economic analysis that low-power CHP confirmed advantages solution engineering. The new is add throttle valve between economizer evaporator reference It was further assumed water would partially be vaporized valve.
